Introducing the “New American Idol” judges… huh Im sorry What???

So last night or something (Whenever Americans have their night) Mr Ryan Seacrest announced the new judges for “American Idol” I don’t know man, Mariah Carey is ayt (I question her singing abilities sometimes, but she can stay standing cos shes been doing it for ages), Keith Urban or what ever his name is is also ayt (Don’t what he does so I’m not gonna judge there as well , he can stay standing), BUT Nicki Minaj??? Oh hell no!!! lemme break it down for for a minute
1. Nicki Minaj is basically still a new comer in the industry
2. Nicki Minaj cannot SING to save her life
3. Nicki Minaj has a million dollar contract with Pepsi and shes gonna be judging a show that’s sponsored by COKE

I could go on and on but it has more effect when I just name 3 (creates a dramatic echo of some sort). I’m not liking the road that the show is taking, there are so many brilliant SINGERS out there but than they opted for popularity instead of talent… man I’m sick of these talent shows, would you believe me if I said because of this the world is gonna end sooner than we thought??? mind you I’m a big Nicki Minaj fan but this aint right ya’ll

Tamar Braxton (My new obsession)

“Braxton Family values” is a reality show that centres around the life of the Braxton sisters Traci; Trina; Tamar (My favourite); Towanda and Toni (Yes the famous Toni Braxton). I know we are currently flooded with reality show, but this one is different, I like it cos its realer than most of the shows that are currently out there. I will admit that when I heard that Toni Braxton and her family were doing a reality show I was kinda skeptical, I actually wasn’t event gonna waste my time but it literally took a 1min clip to change my mind, now I’m proper hooked (yes I’m delayed but hey..) Miss Chatter Box is always on YouTube tryna watch as much as she can due to her being so behind (I think they’re on the third season now). I must say that after watching a few clips (Cant find full episodes anywhere) Ive grown very fond of Tamar Braxton (The baby sister)… OMG would you believe me if I said that I totally see myself in her, she is thee craziest person in the family (Can totally relate); shes forever running her mouth (Can totally relate) and shes fabulous (Can totally relate), shes just a bundle of awesomeness.
ANOTHER SHOCK OF LIFE IS THAT TAMAR BRAXTON IS THE CHICK THAT SINGS “IF YOU DON’T WANNA LOVE ME”, Like that is seriously one of my favourite RnB songs of all time and I had no idea that it was Toni Braxton’s sister that sang it DAMN. I’m confused though… as to how she did not get any success in her music career, I think it has to do with being the sister of a already famous superstar whom she was singing background for (Her and Solange Knowles have something in common), but I wish she really works hard on reviving her music career this time… I mean the show has created a lot of publicity around her, Shes not just a big mouth but she can actually SING. I dont what I love more the show or the fact that I’m gonna see Tamar on the show *Shrugs*
Anywwhooooo I don’t wanna bore ya’ll with some long ass history lesson and stuff, just check out this clip of some of her funniest moments on the show (excuse the low quality), i love the way she refers to herself as “She, Her, Me” LOL. If you don’t find it funny you seriously need to “Get your life”

Ogilvy Challenge (Bosso ke mang???)

Image1.     What’s your blog about (140 characters or less)

There’s no one way of describing my blog; it’s about anything that I feel needs to be talked about. I’m an opinionated scatter brain/Chatter Box

2.    What’s your dream job?

My dream job has not been invented yet, as I said I’m a scatter brain. Let me try and describe my dream job and hopefully it’ll make sense somehow…  I want to be a TV presenter/Radio DJ/ PR Marketer working on a strategic level incorporating business management in the whole mixture. I’ll probably be the only person in the whole world with that kind of job hence I’ll be in high demand. I always tell people that I’m going to be one of those people with five jobs, there’s so much that I want to do and I have no intention of limiting myself (scatter brain tendencies)

3. Sometimes I wish…

Sometimes I wish… we would stop boxing people and ourselves specifically, I wish that type of mentality would just STOP! I hate its either black or white tendencies

Sometimes I wish… I wish we would all just get along…say NO to cyber bullying

Sometimes I wish… I wish we would have GOOD quality local TV adverts and shows (Ogilvy stays winning of course)

Sometimes I wish…  Julius Malema and Bheki Cele would talk some more LOL

4.    What are the blogs you visit for inspiration?

  • I’m very big on entertainment blogs so NecoleBitchie is my ultimate favourite blog, even though it’s an American blog I find it very fresh and interesting.
  • Locally I follow JustCurious which is also an entertainment blog
  • I also follow FanaThePurp’s blog, the Tsonga guy who’s not afraid to voice his opinions, I love his honesty
  • Lastly I follow the blogs on News24 and the TimesLive blog for current news and events

5.       What’s your favourite digital piece/ad ever?

My favourite advert of all time is the tennis biscuits ad with the granny and her grandson, gets me laughing all the time, but the KFC advert with Ellie Goulding’s  song playing in the background comes very close, I downloaded that song because of the KFC advert. So I actually have two favourites. Digitally I must say Beyonce’s performance at the 2011 Billboard award; it was a digital masterpiece absolute genius… loves it!

6.     On repeat…

I’m not a house head but I can’t stop listening to “Take me to my love” by Rulf Gum ft. Monique Bingham #Buck

 7.     How would you decorate your new Ogilvy desk?

With pictures of Thierry Henry *LOL* I’m joking!  I’m not big on decorations but I’d probably have my tweety table cloth (Love me some tweety), some grass box where I’d put all my stationary and a cute photo frame of my mommy and sisters (my rocks). I don’t like cluttered areas so that’ll probably be it, I can’t think in an area that has too much going on

Dear Van Persie

As a (secret) Arsenal supporter I would like to let you know that I’m not Happy with your move especially since which you moved to the worst club in the whole entire world, I understand that you wanted to “Grow” as a player and whatever ydada yada crap you stated as the reason for your move… but I mean out of the clubs that you could have moved to, WHY MANCHESTER UNITED??? Where you not there when they humiliated (us) and scored 100 goals against us which nearly gave our GrandPa Wenger a heart attack??? That team has always made a mockery of Arsenal, they are like the bullies in the playground and you still decided to move there??? *Spits on the ground*

I would just like to let you know that it’s going to get worse from here, you better play perfectly in every match cos if you thought Arsenal supporters were terrible than you clearly have not heard of the Horrific Manchester Supporters, they basically gonna chew and spit you out, they have mercy my bra… you make one mistake and they will definitely be ready to grill you

Let me just say that as a (secret) Arsenal supporter I will leave you alone, I will let the Manchester supporters deal with you when the time is right

Yours Sincerely

Miss Chatter Box (Secret Arsenal Supporter)

“Khanyi Mbau: Bling and nothingness” By Chris Roper

Oh Damn!!! if you thought the open letter to Khanyi Mbau was bad than you aint seen nothing yet. Chris Roper who is the editor of The Mail & Guardian has a little something to say about Khanyi Mbau and her latest Biography, dude goes hard man. I just think that this “tell all biography” what what is a publicity stunt by Miss Mbau, after years of drama and lies how are we to believe anything she says? anyway I’m not in a position to judge. What I can say though is that Khanyi Mbau lives in her own fictional world, that’s the only thing that makes sense to me when it comes to her

Here’s some interesting extracts from the article:

“Mbau’s contention that she has struggled so that the young girls of South Africa can walk free, hold their heads high and not feel shame at being a kept women paid for sex, is slightly perplexing. I know unemployment is high in our country, but is this really a great career choice? The perplexing part is not that women are forced to make these choices, or that they would want to, but that, given her own experience, Mbau seems to feel they’re worthy choices.”

” Imagine that your sins and excesses are so trite and boringly predictable that not even Satan, the Steve Jobs of temptation and damnation, can find a buyer for it. That’s pretty grim. Although possibly not as grim as Mbau’s idea of what it means to plunge into the depths, and of what constitutes the moral fibre to drag yourself out”

“The idea that being a self-serving, immoral egomaniac is in some way one of the precious democratic gifts Nelson Mandela bequeathed us, is beyond insulting. You can say many negative things about apartheid, but you can’t deny that as a system for allowing white men to take advantage of penniless black women, it did a far better job than our current government could ever hope to.”

” Because Khanyi Mbau is nothing, in the sense that celebrities are always a construct of society and culture, and can’t exist outside of that construct, every opinion about her necessarily becomes about the person speaking”

All in all its nicely written, I actually agree with some of his views, you can definitely tell that a “Proper” journalist wrote it, a bit subjective but hey Objectivity is a myth right?

Just when I thought we had heard the last of Khanyi Mbau she pops up again… ah damn!

here’s the link to the article! Check it out!

Beyonce: I was Here

This is Beyonce’s latest video “I was here” from her album “4”, she donated the song to the UN for World Humanitarian Day! its a very touching video, beautifully put together, I even shed a little tear… Deep!!!

There’s some controversy surrounding Beyonce’s initiative, apparently shes only doing this because she was called out for not being charitable, not giving back to her fans and for flaunting her wealth with her husband (Rapper JayZ). We will never really know people’s true intentions for doing things, but whether its a publicity stunt or not shes still helping a lot of people… view it as you might

Anyway I guess having a lot money comes with some controversy as well, you can never win in these streets…

PS: “One day, one message, one goal. To inspire people all over the world. To do something good no matter how big or small, for someone else.” – Beyonce Knowles/UN
